Shawn - taking the Lead on the drills that will be performed at assessments.
1. Play catch
1. Will pitching and catching be optional or how can we incorporate it into the
assessments
1. Angela suggestion:
1. Kid throws 3 pitches
2. The bats for 5 pitches, if he/she hits the ball, kids in the field with field
like a normal play, throw to 1st and 1st baseman will put ball in a
bucket. If the kid does not hit any balls after 5 pitches, he runs to 1st
base and 2-3 balls are thrown into the outfield to showcase the
outfielders abilities.
3. Kids rotate around the field to have their opportunity to showcase.
CBO Communication to membership: Discussion
Micah contacted Mac Cameron (District 54 President) to find out how many leagues in District
54 do CBO in regular season play at the Majors Level. According to Mac, Half of the Leagues
in District 54 do CBO at a Majors Level. Mac said he is encouraging all leagues to go to CBO at
the majors level in regular season play.
Suggestion was made that we need better communication to our membership, maybe we send
a small summary to keep our families in the loop with what is going on around the league, i.e.
important dates, league news, rule changes, etc. Everyone agreed that it would have been
better had the LLI provide everyone with that CBO information before RLL voted on it.
Member thought that the meeting minutes were hard to find on the website and don’t provide
enough information for people who were not at the meeting to understand what was being
discussed.
Member felted that if the parents wanted to know more, they should be more involved with the
meetings and should come to see what the board discusses. Maybe that will invite more
participation from more families.
RLL does not have as much presence on social media as the other local leagues in our area.

Round table:
Dugout improvement status: Per Mike, one of the dugouts has been torn down and they are
waiting for the rain to stop to start the concrete and expansion of the dugouts.
Sponsorship: Last day to get sponsorship requests in before uniforms are ordered will be 2/15
Jen will have a new pricing sheet for the sponsors shortly. Jen provided a list of items we are
aiming to buy for the league: riding mower, popcorn machine, cabinets doors in the snack
shack, etc.
Jen is looking into the lottery for the fireworks booth coming up as a possible fundraiser for the
league.
For the Google Doc that is created for practices, Coaches are asking that a message goes out
before the doc is uploaded so that coaches have the time to go in and set their practices.
Some coaches did not know that the doc was available and missed several practices slots.
