The USA Baseball Mobile Coach is a revolutionary tool that aims to simplify practice planning for baseball coaches at all levels. The app, which is free to all users, features the ability for baseball coaches at all levels to plan practices using drills supplied in the application through the practice planning function. The app also includes information related to Pitch Smart, including guidelines, resources, and pitch counting features. Additional tools and resources are also included, and more features will be added over time.

The USA Baseball Mobile Coach App features the following:

• Mobile interface downloadable from the Apple and Android application stores
• Drill library with baseball specific drill documents and videos
• Ability for coaches to create practice plans using the drill documents and videos
• Practice plans created by USA Baseball and a panel of experts
• Access to free USA Baseball Online Education Center courses, inclusive of skill-specific and culture-based courses
• Pitch Smart pitch counter allows coaches to enter players and their ages and keep track of pitch counts
• Information on USA Baseball’s Long-Term Athlete Development Plan

Practice Planning

Plan your next practice through USA Baseball Mobile Coach’s practice planning feature. View practice plans from the experts or create your own plans to fit your custom needs. Organize your custom plans using customizable segments and the drills from the Drill Library.

Drill Library

The Drill Library is full of over 175 drills for you to use. When viewing the library, each drill has a colored tab to the left indicating difficulty level, and the average time to complete the drill in minutes to the right. Each individual drill page includes more information about the drill, and a video to show the drill in action.

Pitch Smart

The USA Baseball Mobile Coach application also includes a Pitch Smart feature. Here, you can watch a video about Pitch Smart, view the Pitch Smart guidelines, and track your pitchers. Once you enter a pitcher into the application, you can add appearances and pitch counts. This information automatically syncs with the Pitch Smart guidelines to show you how many days of rest your pitchers should have before their next outing.
